Pharmacological Effects [2] Runsul:
Multiple pharmacological studies and numerous clinical trials have been conducted on the hypoglycemic effects of fenugreek seeds and its various extracts, and in most of these investigations, the mentioned effects have been confirmed. The amino acid 4-hydroxyisoleucine, which is a major component of fenugreek seeds, is considered one of the main hypoglycemic compounds in the plant. It is suggested to exert its effects through a potential mechanism of stimulating insulin release from the pancreas. An important point regarding the anti-diabetic effects of the plant is that after the consumption of fenugreek seeds, clinical symptoms of diabetes, especially polyuria, polydipsia, weakness, fatigue, and significant weight loss, notably improve.
